Unpacking the system
Remove the system components from the packing materials. Make sure that you have the following: a computer case, a monitor, a keyboard and a mouse. If an item is missing contact your dealer immediately.
Setting up the system
Place the computer case on a flat surface. Never place it where it will be exposed to the direct rays of the sun. Make sure to place your computer case in an area that is well ventilated. This will help to prevent overheating. Locate the monitor cable. Connect one end of the cable to the monitor port at the back of the computer case and the other end to the monitor. Next, plug in the keyboard and the mouse. Next, locate the two power cables; plug the first one into the computer case and then into the surge protector. Then, with the other cable, connect the monitor to the surge protector. Finally plug the surge protector into the wall outlet and turn on the power switch on the surge protector. If you do not have a surge protector, you can plug the computer directly into the wall, but this is not recommended as electrical surges can damage your computer.
Starting the system
To turn on the computer press the power switch at the back on the left. If the power light does not come on check that the plug is connected properly (and that the surge protector is turned on). You will see a message on the screen. If the screen is blank check that the monitor is connected properly and make sure it is switched on (the power switch on the front of the monitor should be switched to the right).
